However, her upbringing in the northeast of Scotland is still deeply rooted in her and remains a constant source of inspiration for her artistic practice. For several years, she worked in the design industry, but in her own words, returning to painting allowed her to express her soul for the first time. Mandy Maria's background in the design industry has influenced her work for many years, but she now feels increasingly drawn to more analogue creative processes.
