BIRDS' WORDS

This is a ceramics brand founded in Osaka in 2009 by design director Masumi Tomioka and ceramic artist Shun Ito. Each piece of tableware and object is handcrafted with elegant and delicate designs featuring bird and plant motifs. The soft colors and line drawing-like touches give everyday tableware a sense of storytelling, and the appeal is in the expression that naturally connects art and life. They have expanded their worldview beyond tableware to include paper goods and textiles, and are supported by enthusiasts in Japan and around the world.
